Starting deceptively gently between the wide, flat fairway of the first course, Atalaya New Course soon shows its teeth by rising into the foothills and winding inland towards Ronda, rewarding golfers with a testing layout and offering great panoramic views of the coast. Up here wildlife, plants and flowers flourish among gorse bushes and lakes. The return leg wanders gently down among the fairways of the older course towards the chalet style clubhouse.
