Following the success of our regular competitions at Sta. Maria, Parador, Greenlife & Calanova, Golf Leisure Breaks are currently negotiating for two more competitions, to be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays respectively. The first Leisure Breaks competitions were established in 1995 and continue to attract newcomers, regular visitors and residents alike, who are attracted by the reduced green fees, great prizes and more importantly, by the competitive but friendly atmosphere.
Tuesday’s event will most likely be a nine-holer, answering a demand from the many residents seeking a friendly get-together which doesn’t take up a whole day, rather like Thursday’s competition at the popular 9 hole par three course at the Greenlife Golf Club. A Saturday competition will be organized as an opportunity for those who live and work here on the coast and who often find it difficult to play golf on weekdays. The new venues will be announced next week, with the new competitions expected to begin early in April. These extra events will provide a marvellous opportunity for a resident golfer with plenty of spare time to help us run the new competitions, and to enjoy regular free golf.
