JOIN THE CLUB

At last it appears to be dawning on some of the Costa's golf courses that their future lies in their willingness to combine pay & play with club membership. The huge increase in immigration to the Costa del Sol has created a demand by resident golfers for regular affordable golf which can no longer be ignored. As this now coincides with a period when supply far exceeds demand in terms of visiting golf tourists, due to the glut of golf courses along the Costa del Sol, the logical solution for both parties is for golf courses to offer membership to those who spend the majority of their time here. An additional benefit would be that they could then truly earn the right to call themselves golf clubs. I am currently in touch with half-a-dozen golf administrators who are currently inviting applications for membership, or are seriously considering doing so. As soon as specific details are available, they will appear on this page. Golf Leisure Breaks now receives hundreds of enquiries about the availability of golf club membership and is currently compiling lists of potential members and golf clubs offering membership. The logical conclusion is that we can broker memberships, based on individual requirements and various types of membership on offer.

Well established clubs, such as the Santa Maria Golf & Country Club and Parador Golf Club, have welcomed members on an annual subscription basis (no shares) for many years, but are still able to accommodate significant numbers of pay & play clients.
