The reason that there are now so many golf agencies based here on the Costa del Sol is that most visitors now recognize that their services can guarantee a trouble-free visit while saving a significant amount of money. However, there is a catch. The majority of the most recently established agencies are operating illegally, in that they are not licensed (no income tax, no VAT) and cannot guarantee that your golf holiday and your money (which they will demand "up front") are secure. Whereas well-established legitimate agencies will have contactual arrangements with most of the coast's golf clubs as well as a sound working relationship with them. They will have locally based staff with an intimate knowledge of the courses and which represent good value for money. Most importantly, they will be financially sound and will be able to produce 1st. classbankers' references. So before deciding to proceed, ask for details of their operating licence and evidence that your money and your holiday is underwritten by leading insurers via a bonding certificate. You know it makes sense!
