For the past 15 years, Golf Leisure Breaks has been organizing stableford competitions, almost on a daily basis, with Sta. Maria G.C., the Royal Málaga G.C., Calanova G.C. and Sta. Clara G.C. being our regular hosts on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays respectively. The competitions are limited to a maximum of 24 entrants in the winter but only 16 in the summer, when there are not too many golfers about. However, with summer golf proving to be such good value, we sometimes have to increase the number of pre-booked start times in order to accommodate all those who want to play. Obviously, the more the merrier, but to ensure your place, please book as early as possible, preferably no later than 48 hours prior to the advertised date. But for those who, for one reason or another don't know until the eleventh hour that they will be available, there's always the possibility of the odd space, so don't be afraid to try. All of our host clubs are extremely co-operative and can often find an extra slot when necessary. The competitions are played to the rules of golf, but are very sociable and friendly, with regular visitors often pencilling in the competitions as part of their regular visits. Residents also take advantage of the special green fee rates to enjoy the comraderie and competition, not to mention the novel and valuable prizes. Competition details appear elsewhere on this page.
