The Irish Challenge
Last year's event was voted a great success, especially the presentation dinner, when the Irish team acknowledged their victory with great modesty and humility.
ast year, an Irish team took on the rest of the world - and won! On Friday & Saturday, 8th. & 9th. June, the rest of the world will be seeking revenge. The format will be teams of two, playing four-ball matchplay over the two days, at Calanova and Sta. Maria respectively. There will be a prize presentation dinner with live entertainment on the Saturday evening and the whole package, including green fees, shared buggies and dinner, will cost a mere 150 euros. The Irish will be fielding a strong team, so we now need some locally based golfers to be sure of giving them a run for their money. Last year's event was voted a great success, especially the presentation dinner, when the Irish team acknowledged their victory with great modesty and humility.
There will be some wonderful prizes on offer, thanks to some generous sponsorship, and the Guiness and Murphy's will flow. Individual players are welcome, and pairings will be made up on Thursday 7th. June.
There are a limited number of start times, and entries close on Friday, 1st. June, so entries will be on a first come, first served basis. Call Julie on 952 582 943 to enter. Players' guests are welcome to the dinner, at 30 euros per person |
